Pros

Smart people, challenging work, flexible work schedules, work at home, great co-workers, some opportunity for movement amongst departments, some managers are great.

Cons

The current environment of never-ending reorganization has been affecting many for over a year resulting in low morale, minimal productivity, and lack of confidence in the company. No one knows who is responsible for anything so either too many people are involved OR not the right people. Employees are in constant fear that they are going to be laid off.

Pros

This is a large company working with many new (and many more old) technologies. There is a wide variety of things to work on. There is not a huge pressure to deliver quickly, as there is pressure to deliver correctly.

Cons

The job was listed as remote, my team is spread across the country, but anyone within 50 miles of an office has to go to that office. I will be alone with no-one from my team there, to work at a worse desk, with worse monitors, keyboards, and mice. Executives publish "replies" to employee concerns that list our concerns, but do not in any way address them.

Pros

high salaries good benefits profit sharing and tuition reimbursement. 401k and pension plan. pro employee

Cons

it can be a stressful environment and not a straight 9-5 job. too many systems after acquisitions and their consolidation is slow. innovation is not their strong suit. usually not the company leading with new technology or new ways of doing things. wasted tons of money implementing lean principles only to discontinue the practice. people took risks to become lean coaches only to be laid off. "they are the best of the best" but have not plan to integrate them back to the business.
