Pros

I've worked here a long time and been through a lot of changes. pay is decent, there are opportunities to try new things and generally work life balance has been good and very flexible. new leadership may be changing that though. it's a giant corporate environment and your experience will vary based on the team you are on. DEI focus has shifted a lot of the employee experience work to feel good programs targeting specific groups vs meaningful impact for employees generally.

Cons

New CEO has a vision and spent a lot of communication energy around it but it's pretty meaningless drivel and doesn't seem to have a consi6or clear strategy. 'Win with purpose together' is hardly inspiring and definitely doesn't mean much when it's been business as usual. Corporate groups are a mess and strategy consists of a catchy title for a bucket of work that everyone can cram their pet projects in to. Then we get calls for cuts due to 'expense pressures' that wouldn't be necessary of senior leadership could actually define a goal and prioritize resources effectively.

Pros

Work life balance - that's about it. Use to be work place flexibility, but that's going away.

Cons

The company is trying to position itself as a "Best Place to Work". It ironically sees itself as an "Apple" or "Google" when it comes to work place accommodations. But it is lacking in everything about those companies - great health care, free meals, industry leading pay. Every response with a large employee audience where pay/benefits are of concern is always "we are working to match market norms" or "this is competitive with the current market". How can a company be a Best Place if it's always doing catch up? Now they are taking away the availability of remote work with a blanket mandate that all employees within 50 miles of a major office must physically be in the office 2x a week. The reasons are to network, build a collaborative atmosphere, and deepen relationships. Never have employees at the company been so vocal and opposed to a decision, yet senior management refuses to address the many and justified concerns of its employees while providing empty gestures of sympathy that it will be difficult for its people.
