Pros

The company strives to offer employees a comprehensive benefit package, in addition to career development and advancement opportunities. The company is fiscally responsible and demonstrates a true commitment to its' mission to improve health and improve lives. During my brief tenure within Labcorp, I've grown to appreciate the contributions of this organization to the clients, patients and communities it serves. Overall, Labcorp is a good place to work and offers career paths with longevity.

Cons

Labcorp is a large company, which can make it difficult to navigate and network. Also, there are nuances within HR and IT processes that make it difficult to achieve desired outcomes in a timely fashion; however, I do not believe this to be unique to Labcorp.

Pros

- Learn something new every day - Fairly easy work with easy to use applications - Most of the staff is kind and willing to work well with one another - Management is open to ideas to improve processes - Pay is okay for an entry level position - Management is understanding and is willing to work with you when they can

Cons

- Training was extremely wide based, and overwhelming. - I didn't know what I was walking into, and the overload of information was intimidating and confusing. I really felt it needed to be more based on each individual role, and each individual laboratory needs. - It would be nice to have a 90 day review/raise opportunity. My 90 days came up so fast and I know that I am doing ok, but I don't really know where I stand in the company as how I am doing or what I need to improve on. - I would love an educational program for those who do not already have a college degree. - I am quite disappointed that LabCorp doesn't provide a holiday party for their employees. - There is a lack of 'community' in the workplace. You do not have any opportunity to get to know you're team mates and that does affect your mood, the quality of work you provide and many other things. I really wish this was looked at more.

Pros

The reporting associate team have been great, very welcoming and eager for me to learn and ask questions. This has been great as my first corporate experience having always worked in academia before.

Cons

The workload is high, therefore other team members have, absolutely fairly, prioritised their work and I have had a lack of training and tasks on some days. Some tasks are well explained and others you are thrown in the deep end. There has also been a lack of introductions to people outside of the team, therefore it can be hard to troubleshoot problems on my own as I don't know who to contact.
