Spin off is a mess

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good benefits and health insurance

Cons

Tools and accesses don't work, fake promotions, no one knows what or how the processes will look like after hard spin. They are making the employees work more to get things off the ground with no extra compensation. Management does not have the changes mapped out yet. They waited until the last minute to start the planning, which should have been studied and planned out at least a year before soft spin.

None - Join only if you want to get laid off in span of few months.

Cons

1.Very Weak leadership 2.No Vision for growth 3. Company pays penalty to its customer just to keep the customer name on its list. 4.Heavy loss making company. 5. Non empathatic leadership which cannot keep longterm loyal employees with lesser than market costs are being asked to resign and the company doesnot have guts or courtesy to pay decent lay off or survival amount /package to its loyal employees. 7. NO NEW BUSINESS COMING IN...PLEASE STAY AWAY DONOT GET FOOLED BY THE PLUSH FANCY OFFICE ENVIRONMENT WHICH HAS REDUCED TO JUST COUPLE OF FLOORS FROM MULTIPLE BUILDINGS

Way worse than IBM.

Pros

- Remote work possible after covid.

Cons

Kyndryl has split from IBM and is effectively what IBM GTS was. The main reason was that GTS wasn't making a profit. Part of the blame is surely the CFO. Who did they choose to run Kyndryl??? IBM's CFO. A guy that has zero experience outside of IBM... No wonder Kyndryl still fail to generate profit. There is no vision, and the company is slowly turning into a reseller of Microsoft's solutions. All without any expertise or added value on these products, e.g Cloud Architect that are not aware of what Kubernetes is, Data Engineer that know only SQL, no programming language, and are not aware of bread and butter tools such as Apache Airflow of dbt. Managers that are managing their team based on feeling and not data based facts. As they are not technical, they could not explain what are the skills that every employee brings to the table. To resume, one of the least technical company I had to work for. As a customer I would avoid at all cost.
