Pros

Wage Wage Wage Wage Wage

Cons

Ridiculous rules (not allowed to go to the toilet when needed) Managers often try and talk you out of taking your booked holiday days and make you feel as if you’re doing a wrong if you say no Too many egos amongst managers always looking for someone to blame instead of fixing the actual problem Told you can’t communicate between your workers One time my child was rushed to hospital and when I told my process leader I need to leave he replied “why, what are you going to do you’re not a doctor” Terrible terrible behaviour

Pros

Occasionally you get some cool projects. Many opportunities to stretch skills. Working on automotive software comes with a unique set of challenges that required a new way of thinking. If you like corporate life, this job's for you!

Cons

If you can't stand corporate life, maybe try another job. There is much distrust between the UK and US teams as well as between the Management and staff. I've heard many people express that they feel their work isn't valued. There is way too much duplication of work between the UK and US that is a result of poor communication and lack of trust. Management and upper management are all white and male. It's a tech job so women if you apply, know you will have to fight to be taken seriously.

Pros

- Good experience if you are lucky and/or are quickly promoted after the Grad scheme - A lot of trainings to choose from and managers who encourage learning - Good work/life balance - Good salary for the area

Cons

- Grad Scheme is very poorly designed. You can get lucky and have a brilliant experience, but that's for about 25% of the graduates. The rest do admin roles and get the worst responsibilities. - HR support during the grad scheme does not exist. - Performance is not considered when finishing the grad scheme.
