Pros

Close to my house, my colleagues and slight enhancement in job titles. That is all.

Cons

I worked for Ingeus for 2 years and say an eye watering 68 people leave for different reasons. This pretty much sums it up. A lot of changes to policy without thinking about staff. Without out no training, the senior managers were rude and didn’t care about participants. Only if they get a job then they will move heaven and earth. I once asked to provide a training course that was promised, it was turned down and the response was I don’t care about her money or why she is paying £200 out of her universal credit, how will it support her getting a job etc. Baring in mind the women had a child to support and wanted to better herself. Bottom line is they don’t care and gone away from there ‘values’. The change in management in the Hackney was dreadful and felt for him when he wasn’t told for months whilst another manager on secondment got a role and announced it on a manager’s meeting call. They used him as a scapegoat and destroyed him mentally. Once the new business manager was introduced I knew it was time to leave as he was out of his depth. The team leaders are never around. One kept there job for so long and was incompetent, always late or sick and didn’t have a clue about the job role. Yet passed her probation. Also, lied about visits to the job centre and was at home the whole time. Another, gets to involved and stresses herself out. Not really a leader as such but does her best and no managers takes notice of her. A recently promoted adviser is patronising, lazy and don’t listen to anyone. Out of the people in the run in for the role he was the least deserving and people were shocked he got the interim role let alone the job full time. In the 2 years, I have see staff threatened and the business refused security. It took the office to be robbed for one small camera to be installed. We had bed bugs and were informed of the infestation for 4 weeks. What company does that?! Managements leaving boxers in the kitchen to dry. The gossiping from managers about peoples lives and wellbeing sitting in meetings and there laughing at peoples situations like a joke. The company has had the restart programme extended. For the life of me I don’t know why! There is no money for participants. You will be underpaid and the bond structure is laughable considering how much work you put it. The administration is a lot and not necessarily you will set actions for the sake of it. It’s up to you how interpret this review. You will get good and bad but beware of the operation development team and team leaders in Hackney. If they don’t like you. They will get you out.
