Pros

Some great, hardworking staff who care about the clients and their colleagues. Despite no pay rise they still pay well for the industry.

Cons

Poor communication across all tiers of management. Staff are treated as numbers not people. Recent round of redundancies has shown the organisations true colours, advisors have been selected for redundancy on a very unfair, performance based process that has substantial inconsistencies, Advisors have been compared against each other who work in completely different roles, performance data used for some advisors dates back to 2014/15 and is compared against data used for advisors from the second half of 2016. There has been no accounting for differences in caseloads, changes of caseloads, sizes of caseloads, different roles. It has in the main been completely unfair. HR and senior management have supposedly 'listened' to people's concerns around this process but have been unwilling to change most things. An interview process would have been a much fairer method of selection and if Ingeus was forward thinking and looking for the right staff to deliver the next contract which is primarily ESA clients then this is what they would have done, instead they will be left with a high proportion of advisors who have little experience of working with the client group and actually dont want to and staff who have poor sickness and conduct records but because they have performed well in the 6 months being used for the selection process they will keep their jobs! Come on Ingeus does good work ethic, experience, reliability, not count for anything..... clearly not! The feeling amongst most staff is one of distrust and they have little faith in the company to do the right thing which ironically is one of the Companies values.

Pros

Some of the negative reviews on here are quite extreme and I wonder if the company’s profile is being trolled by someone. I worked here for a number of years and wanted to give a more considered review. Ingeus has strong values and approachable senior management who are respectful and genuinely care. You'll be in a team with great, fun people who work collaboratively. You are guaranteed to make amazing friends. Policies such as flexible working have recently been introduced and a good work life balance is encouraged.

Cons

The company has grown quickly in a short space of time. People who worked here when it was a much smaller organisation sometimes take business decisions personally rather than acting professionally. Whilst Ingeus is still a good place to work a some of the fun has gone as it has grown and diversified. There hasn't been a pay rise for several years. At the same time large dividends are paid out to shareholders. You’ll find that line managers are generally "nice people" but can lack the skills to properly manage and progress staff. You have to fight for your personal development, rather than training and progression being encouraged as a matter of course.
