      Many pros but some definite cons

      Pros

      Bright, keen and engaged people in the main. (Despite the vile approach to HR by the HRD who appears to gain more pleasure from firing/redundancy/pay freezes than hiring/developing people and has no real clue how modern HR should operate - I’d guess she be more interested in breaking my anonymity then find a route to punish me for being negative than actually listening - one of my colleagues asked her a question in office recently and she told them to log a call with HR system). CEO, UK MD and Business Development Director are credible, friendly and competent. Even the lawyer is pretty fun.

      Cons

      Downward spiral continues - it’s sold two non UK businesses last year and still making a loss. The only place can find out how well the company is doing by looking at parent company results online - and I work in finance!

      Highly ethical company but too many contractors at the London HQ

      Pros

      Impressive ethics and principles, a CEO staff genuinely believe in and who listens, excellent work life balance with a good corporate mission.

      Cons

      Far too many senior posts within IT and Group Finance occupied by contractors rather than permanent employees.

      Thanks for your review and for your comments around work life balance and our purpose. To your point around contractors - some of our colleagues are interim due to the nature of work that they do; some projects require work for a fixed amount of time, but not forever. Using contractors to support our full-time workforce is one way to address this and it works well for the organisation, and for the people carrying out the interim roles too. However, it is important that when people are working in these roles that they feel part of the team – and there’s a role for everyone to play in that. Regards, Kalbir Heer

      Purpose driven company

      Pros

      A company with strong values, good work ethic and a commitment to using business as a force for good. Flexible working allows for a great work-life balance particularly for those based in the Corporate center.

      Cons

      Limited pay increases or bonuses in the last couple of years
