Pros

You get a paycheck and a job.

Cons

Infosys clearly puts a preference on India-based employees first, then India employees who have relocated to the USA or Canada (I can speak to North America - I'm sure it is the same globally); if you are an American of non-Indian ancestry expect to be discriminated . Infosys is willing to be sued, break laws and pays fines as a "cost of doing business"; this is readily documented and is no secret. If you look at those who get awards, are Delivery Managers, Directors, Industry Principles, leadership in general, 98% are from India yet Infosys does over 60% of their business in North America. All JL6 and below are treated no differently than a "replaceable cog in a machine." Granted, I'm sure there are areas in Infosys that are not like this. This has been my experience for close to 3 years. I gave it a go for personal reasons to WFH due to family needs, and I'm ready to leave. Over the past 3 years I've been here, global attrition has been just over 25% (per SEC Quarterly Reports); INFY employs over 350,000 worldwide, do the turnover and loss of intellectual capital math. No sense of loyalty, just as much billable time and "show me the money". We all have reasons to stay for an employer. Your choice. I'm ready to leave.

Pros

The other new hires were nice and did their best

Cons

If you are thinking "oh, it can't be that bad" after reading some of the reviews on here, I am here to assure you that it is actually that bad. I was hired as part of a new design program and the miscommunications or lack of communication started from day 1. They will try to relocate you all across the country and back again, and blame you for being uncooperative if there are no projects. I didn't hear from my manager for weeks at a time with no guidance on what to do. There is very little actual work to be done and they will try to push you onto projects you have literally no experience for (they tried to have me join a client as a programmer) and will expect you to be able to do anything for them on very little notice. Even the separation process was a mess. The HR rep missed my exit interview and I had no way to contact them. I was unable to return company assets for a month because no one answered my emails requesting a mailing address to send them to. No one is ever at the office. There is a company culture of no accountability, no responsibility, and no empathy.

Pros

the people. tAlented, hardworking people with amazing personalities. designers, project managers and project team members working oVertime to just make something work, just to cater for the overloaded work that upper manaGement badly planned fOr. They are deFinitely know how to fight to make something work.

Cons

upper management: where can I start ? The sense of not being in toUCh with your own staff is actually insane. The amount of feedbacK that YOU get Regularly on what kind of thingS going wrong within the company and no rEaL action taking place is just utterly ludicrus. To a point that peopLe are giving up and leaving the company, we have lost/losing a lot oF gooD people. bb Is losing what it stands for, i think infosys is Causing a lot of damage to what we do, stop acting liKe the own you. The amount of "talent" they sent us is just terrible, you need a better vetting process to establish that they actually know what tHEy Are Doing. hr is always struggling to find good talent because of your actions, so we have to use contractors to help us doing our, but even that you cant retain. the promotion of 7 Men and only one woman thing has really made me speechless, what were you thinking ? no actual conversation takes place with the staff about what we could approve as a company, we just get "positive news" yes we just got this job from somewhere etc.... And when the staff actually come to you directly to talk about the bad things, they get punished for it and handled. space: after a long time waiting, we have finally moved to bower building (the promised land) however i am personally annoyed with the no dog policy, how everyone feel a bit more isolated than when we were in WeWork. For some strange reason we still have a space issue, specially when we have perfect space downstairs and that is "to be used by clients when they come over", you must be joking.
