      Part of small company acquired by IMS - Still feel somewhat isolated

      Pros

      IMS is big company with a lot of employee benefits. There are a lot of resources available to employees for both professional and personal use. Working from home is an option for many teams within IMS. Career advancement seems to be encouraged and opportunities are available within the company.

      Cons

      Since IMS is so large, sometimes you feel like you are just another number. I don't know what a lot of my colleagues actually do and I'm sure many of them don't know much about my department.

      Pros

      A lot of opportunities for you to learn new stuff, especially you are a recent graduate from school, Quintiles is a good place to start practicing what you have learned from school. The other thing is the good work-life balance here.

      Cons

      Salary is not very high, and you need very good communication skills to get promoted. Too many changes in company's personnel. You have to adjust yourself quickly.

      Data offerings are industry leading, although this is changing. Company is willing to invest in new ideas/ventures/acquisitions People are outwardly pleasant

      Massively uncollaborative culture Sense of entitlement (to monopolistic pricing) Quarterly sales focus at expense of project innovation
