Contracts are usually with Big Pharmaceutical companies, you gain Great experience, true resume builder.
Cons
Pay is SUBSTANTUALLY less than direct hire employees, your contract can be terminated at ANY time. I was literally in the field one day and laid off the next along with 400 other people. Despite having a extension on your contract terms you can and will be let go without notice.
