Pros

Management allows for at least some creativity in solving problems. If mistakes are made, it is not the end of the world. They allow you to learn from your mistakes and quickly move on.

Cons

There is a real lack of possible career advancement or growth within the current location. This is something that is rarely talked about or acknowledged. This is strange given the sheer size of the company. Management is overworked. Their low morale is passed down to the staff.

Pros

Working at ING provided good learning opportunities. The company's international and global presence gives the advantage for those seeking for exposure to working and cultures abroad.

Cons

Things move quite slowly at ING. This is sometimes due to the work culture, or decisions require several layers of approval before they can get executed. Many people feel comfortable doing what they always do, making some processes redundant but still remaining as "that's how its always been".
