Pros

Good work/life balance, management is typically very open and receptive. Good (mandatory) feedback system and follow-up. Pay wasn't too bad for retail, and they keep instituting pay-floor rises. Vacation time accrues wicked fast after a few years. A lot of people were sitting on 200+ hours.

Cons

Depending on your department, you may end up working very, very late. During the kitchen sales, the warehouse staff was pulling orders as late as midnight. Some managers are very inflexible, but that'll vary by location. Upward movement is limited and promotion isn't guaranteed
