Pros

I loved the culture at IKEA. It was very open, warm and friendly. Team work was fostered and encouraged. The product offered is great and there is room for cross training. Benefits great too. Training offered,

Cons

Not a lot of interaction between line staff and senior management. More senior management presence could increase employee morale.

Pros

Higher pay for food service, pto for part time workers (3 weeks per year) Amazing HR, they will work with you and identify your strengths and weaknesses. Good communication between managers and coworkers, there's little sense of entitlement and hierarchy. A break every 2 hours and company lunch program is amazing. Best job I had in college. EVERYONE, FROM STORE MANAGER TO THE JANITOR IS CONSIDERED AN IKEA CO-WORKER. IT'S LIKE A SOCIALIST PARADISE, BENEFITS MAKE UP FOR LOW PAY

Cons

Pay and hours. But it's retail. Ikea could do a better job at explaining its organization to first time customers. More customer ambassadors to help new shoppers?
