Pros

Easy to get in, fun and good people working there. (none - management) go in do your time and leave with no worries

Cons

everything is arranged when it comes to promotions. Your job skills and experience mean nothing. Its who likes you and what can you do for them in case of any problems. Managers are there since the store is open and do not want to move up in the company, and that leads to relocating to a different state if you want to move up.

Pros

compared to any other asian companies, i think we don't need to be sacrified for companies. i believe that work-life balance would be good and working enviroments are all friendly.

Cons

Side-effect might happen, which means many employees couldn't get used to working IKEA like foreign companies.

Pros

IKEA is a great place to work for in terms of retail. Plenty of opportunities to grow and explore within the company. The employee perks are wonderful as well as the health benefits. Great retirement plan with 401k options. They strive to keep their employees happy since a happy worker is a productive worker.

Cons

Although the concept of IKEA is grand and wonderful, at the end of the day you are working with people who see it as just a job. Neither them nor the management see the IKEA ideology and do not care for it. The benefits are great, but the pay isn't. I guess it depends on which department you work in and your rank (HL1, HL2, HL3, Team lead etc.). Depending on your superior(s), you will either enjoy your experience or it will be hell. Also, it is hard to plan your life around random days off.
