Pros

1. Great learning if you are given high-profile cases 2. Friendly atmosphere where people are willing to help; 3. Tremendous knowledge-sharing among colleagues 4. Great work-life balance

Cons

1. Appraisals are not taken seriously by management; people who are in good books continue to get good work/cases and bonus irrespective of their performance; favouritism is rampant 2. Poor IT infrastructure 3.Team leads and sector heads do not check your work; hence there is no motivation to do a good job; good work often goes unnoticed 4 Work gets repetitive after sometime; also there is no career progression. Managers and senior associate analysts do the same work 5. Lot of time is wasted in following practices and procedures rather than in analysis 6. Top management at times does not show respect towards colleagues 7. Management's ways of cutting costs demotivates employees

Pros

Opportunity to learn by making mistakes

Cons

No HR department. Thus, no formal process for appraisal and Widescale nepotism. People in good books once keep getting all the benefits year after year.

Pros

Great work life balance, with good pay package compared to competitors as well as other companies in financial industry. Interaction with clients and top management from Day 1 of your job. Lotsa opportunity to work on different sectors and increase your knowledge base.

Cons

unfar allocation of cases as all prestigious mandates are given to same set of people, others merely get small clients where there is limited scope of working. No traning and mentoring for new joinees. Lack of culture and bonding amonng employyes who keep interaction to work-related issues. Top management is more focussed on cutting costs (despite the company's good fnancial performance) by reducing perks for employees which demotivates employees. your career advancement wll depend entirely upon your boss. Lots of time spent in compliance related issues but that a requirement of regulator and cannot be escaped
