Pros

- Especially for new graduates, IBM is a great place to learn more about the consulting business. People who want/need structure would love working there - When you outgrow your position you can explore career opportunities elsewhere in the company. It is such a large company that whatever you find interesting there will be a group of people working on that - Great people. You really bond with the people you work with

Cons

I guess as a large company, IBM suffers from all the problems the other large companies suffer from: - Not a ton of visibility beyond your direct supervisor - Not a lot of excitement. Slow to move to the market's changing demands - Slow to recognize success

Pros

Big company with lots of opportunity for any skillset. Good pay and good benefits. Highly focused on individual improvement to skills. IBM continually works to reinvent itself...will be a strong company for decades to come.

Cons

IBM has a culture developed over years of operation...it is difficult to teach an old dog new tricks
