Pros

Staff was friendly. Managers were hard working.

Cons

Pay was not competetive. Job description is very vague. You are responsible for food service, as well as front desk job duties and reports. You have to multitask, which is not a bad thing but it can be difficult if the team is not on the same page.

Pros

Valuable Global Hotel Benefits: The company offers excellent global hotel benefits, including 12 complimentary nights annually and significant discounts. This is a substantial perk for those who enjoy travel. Positive Team Environment: The hotel is generally friendly and supportive, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Employee Amenities: Complimentary lunch and occasional treats are appreciated, and free parking is available, albeit at a nearby location.

Cons

Challenges with Complimentary Hotel Nights: While the complimentary hotel nights are a significant benefit, the booking process requires extensive advance planning (up to 18 months), which can limit flexibility. Discounted rates are more accessible but may have limited availability for popular destinations. Competitive Compensation Concerns: The salary for this role is below the regional average for similar positions. While the hotel benefits are valuable, the base pay may make it challenging to manage living expenses. Also, when they list a pay range - you will be paid the lowest listed pay. Cost of Health Benefits: The health benefits package is comprehensive, but the employee contribution is relatively high. Inconvenient Parking: While free parking is provided, the off-site location is a 10-minute walk, and on-site parking is reserved for management. Inconsistent Communication: Communication within the team can be inconsistent, leading to occasional misalignments and confusion. Preferential Treatment: There is a perception of preferential treatment for management roles. Team Dynamic Considerations: The team dynamic appears to strongly favor a specific profile, characterized by high energy, strong extroversion, highly sociable (the social butterfly), and for this role - a recent college graduate just starting out. Individuals who deviate from this profile may experience difficulties in feeling fully included, and therefore, fully successful.
