Pros

The pros are that you get to work at an upscale resort, most staff is pretty professional, pay is semi-decent i guess, you get to try some really good food and to interact with a lot of guests from all over the world.

Cons

The cons would be that the pay is not the best and that, as in all of hospitality industry, you have to work long and irregular shifts. Don't be surprised if you work double shifts and then have to be back at work soon after that. Some of the staff can cause drama, but you'll find that everywhere.

Pros

Paid higher, at the time, than most in our job in the hospitality industry

Cons

No consistency on expectations, possibly because it was a new brand at the time. There was never time given to let a plan work for the company. Everyone, including senior management was on edge, so that stress trickled down to the individual hotel level.

Pros

Great benefits, decent starting pay, option to explore other areas of employment within the hotel, good teamwork most of the time

Cons

Poor communication between the departments, ie; front of the house, back of the house, etc. Very infrequent praise from upper management
