Pros

I like Case Management Work, I can either work from home or in the office. I like my co-wprkers. Three weeks vacation upon hire.

Cons

If you are looking for a good Health Insurance Plan, you will not receive at Humana. I have been with the company a little while. We use to have good Health Insurance beneifts. We had a traditional PPO. Now we are forced to select 3 options of High Deductible. If you are carrying your family as I am, the cost is HORRIBLE! I am Case Managing Employer Groups with the old traditional PPO and it pisses me off, we are no longer able to have that same plan. I use to give 150%, to see that things got done on time and put in efforts far beyond the normal. NO LONGER! If Humana thinks so little of employees that we have to now take the CRAP Plan, then, I am going home at 5pm and NOT starting untill the normal start time. Before it was a a Great commitment on my part to Humana. NOW it's just a J-O-B. The other thing is you go to two Summits a year, For me it's o big deal, I live near the summit site. But Humana spends Hugh amounts of money, flying, and paying for rental cars and rooms carting thousands of employees around vaious parts of the country. Nothing is gained from an employee persepctive, except falling behind on work. It usually is a bunch of people running around Drunk playing stuipd bonding games. Really, Humana should save the money.

Pros

Co-workers are dedicated and work hard. Occasional perks in lieu of monies as an incentive for working hard toward goals.

Cons

Disregard for employees demonstrated by Senior Leadership-withholding monetary compensation as a rule, Dickensian rigor rules when sharing profits. The messages that are trumpeted as "Vision" die on the vine due to unwillingness to provide necessary resources to actually accomplish said vision. Morale is mainly due to sharing of work among too few employees. During hiring process employees are told occasional overtime is required, then a slick lowball offer (salary) is made and reality steps in-overtime is constant and needed on a daily, if not weekly basis.

Pros

For the most part this is an okay place to work. Reasonable opportunity to advance if you wish, good training resources available online and in the workplace. Pay and benefits are fair compared to the market.

Cons

Business needs take precedent over holidays, so be prepared to not have certain holidays off. You are compensated extra for having to work though. There can be quick changes in management and since Humana hires based on leadership potential sometimes rather then experience, you may end up with a manager that doesn't know much about how a certain department works.
