Pros

Future outlook of the company and Mike McCallister as the head of the board and CEO. I believe in Mr. McCallister's vision for the future. While some see the demise of our industry, I believe our Sr. Leadership will help us innovate and be successful in the future.

Cons

Large Fortune 100 organization that can be bureaucratic at times. The challenges can be found in holding leaders responsible for meeting results while balancing the needs of employees. Too often, leaders see important initiatives as "optional" and that can slow down progress.

Pros

-Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. -My particular role has more freedom than others (work from home, taking on additional fun projects as long as I'm meeting my requirements) -It's so big that it's hard for management to keep up with every nuance of the way people spend their time, so, even though it's not explicitly encouraged, there is opportunity to explore different skill sets. -Louisville may not be a bustling town, but it is still a place for entrepreneurial minds to make their mark.

Cons

-No clear path to advancement. -Dinosaur technology systems -Rigid hierarchy -Conservative business culture (stringent dress code, lack of work at home policy for everyone) -Lots of unwritten rules -Homogenous workforce (there is some ethnic diversity, but it's segregated by hierarchical level; not a lot of experiential diversity) -Many people in senior leadership have outrageous egos and do not recognize the value of the perspective and experience of associates at lower levels (often working closest to consumers, and therefore with the greatest potential for insight). -Corporate language makes no sense and becomes another barrier to understanding consumers
