Pros

Humana is best company to work for if you are working in good department where manager is focus on doing things and not a micro manager. I have been working at Humana for 4 years now and most of the departments are best place to work in. Benefits is good - 23 days PTO to start with and 1.25 match for 401K.

Cons

In Humana culture is 100% different from department to department. If you are in good department then Humana is best company to work for, but if you are working under few micro managers then your life will be hell. Not been lucky and I stuck in wrong department where managers are micro managers. They keep track on what time you report to work, what time you are leaving. Whether you are WFH or in office. Even been non-technical manager they dictates technical decision and you feel like suffocating yourself of not been trusted, not allowed to do your job correctly.

Pros

You work from home. They pay is reasonable. It's very rewarding to help people change their lives for the better each day.

Cons

Longer hours are required to meet expectations than the 40 they hire you to work. You are micromanaged. You coach will IM you stating you haven't made a call in 20 minutes and ask you why. You are always being watched and listened to. It is a very robotic position. There is nominal coverage when taking PTO, you must make up your work when you return. Coverage teams exist, but they only call one or two of your members when you are out. The computer programs have problems throughout the day 4 days out of 5.

Pros

Co-workers are dedicated and work hard. Occasional perks in lieu of monies as an incentive for working hard toward goals.

Cons

Disregard for employees demonstrated by Senior Leadership-withholding monetary compensation as a rule, Dickensian rigor rules when sharing profits. The messages that are trumpeted as "Vision" die on the vine due to unwillingness to provide necessary resources to actually accomplish said vision. Morale is mainly due to sharing of work among too few employees. During hiring process employees are told occasional overtime is required, then a slick lowball offer (salary) is made and reality steps in-overtime is constant and needed on a daily, if not weekly basis.
