      Pros

      There are a lot of great opportunities at Hilton, nice work environment and professional co-workers.

      Cons

      You don't get benefits on date of hire and have to wait 90 days to begin benefits; that has a big impact if your transitioning jobs and have a dependents. Recruiter could have been more transparent about this aspect, specially because I asked about this.

      Pros

      Hilton provides great opportunities for education and advancement if you fit the correct image. The company has a great brand and corporate culture that is inclusive and promote diversity in its team members.

      Cons

      Advancement is based on who you know instead of what you know. Leadership tends to be a bit ivory tower like. Often times results are focused on checking the box instead of truly meeting the objective.

      Awesome Company But...

      Pros

      HW is an international brand with a strong financial base and excellent service reputation. Has excellent values and policies and programs are reasonable and they are superior marketers. Once you get in, there are many opportunities that can be pursued both on the corporate level and the hotel levels.

      Cons

      The main con I can think of is that a lot of 'line level' positions are low wage (less than$10 per hour). It's just a personal opinion but I think an multi-national corporation can afford to pay higher starting wages to its non-exempt associates. This is really the only major con I can think of.
