      Pros

      The Memphis corporate office has a comfortable, casual workplace that makes you happy to come to work in the morning. When your life requires you to be elsewhere, the work schedule can be flexible as long as you work something out with your manager. The benefits are good ranging from your typical 401(k) plan and a solid medical program to discounts on hotel rooms and hotel furnishings.

      Cons

      Office politics can be a drag but I suppose that will be an issue wherever you go. I also assume this will vary from place to place you work within Hilton. Hilton is not an IT company, and the IT department does not run as such. If you are used to and prefer structure and standards, you may be dissapointed.

      Pros

      When I first started at the hotel, I thought it would be an opportunity to get my foot in the door with a Hilton affiliated property, while putting time in and hopefully managing a hotel of my own in the future. I love some of the people that I work with, they are really great people, but in the other hand it is hard when when it seems like the blind leadin the blind.

      Cons

      1.) turnover is high 2.) pay is low 3.) professionalism is low all of the well trained good people are leaving. That is a major problem. People are unhappy because they work hard and make so little. Management is unprofessional in how they deal with associates and business in general. Intervention is needed, before they palce falls apart from the inside out.

      Pros

      Travel benefits Easy to get a job with Plenty of work along with hours available. Type knit work environment. Be a good worker and have a good attitude and you will make friends. The friends you make in other departments will look out for you and let you in on the benefits of their jobs especially in food and beverage.

      Cons

      Some jobs don't pay well. Management makes less than hourly and tipped employees. As a result, many managers are incompetent and only want the title. It seems to be hard to fire incompetent and lazy employees. The quality of employees is going down.
