Pros

Excellent benefits with long term visibly within a cash-rich corporation.

Cons

Doesn't promote within. Tend to look outside the company for mid level management.

Pros

Serious about news coverage. Loves winning awards and being competitive. Values local television. Some really impressive stations with long track records. You can be proud of working for Hearst.

Cons

Tendency to be behind the times. Slow to respond to industry changes, such as social media. Hard to feel like there's growth opportunities within the company. Virtually no cooperation with other Hearst Corporation properties.
