New management do not care about employees happiness. work life balance is not good since they want people to do at least 3 peoples’ jobs without being compensated.

Pros

Great company culture. Great benefits. The content we're producing is important and causes change.

Cons

There are frequent hiring freezes and layoffs happen often. Empty positions aren't filled, which forces the remaining staff to pick up the slack for no additional compensation or salary bump. No raises. Hard to move up or be promoted within your magazine.

Pros

Great, creative culture at the staff level, some of the best talent and brands in the business.

Cons

New upper management of Hearst Magazines has made many questionable decisions about the direction of the print titles, harming morale and driving away talent.
