Pros

-Great benefits -Hearst family takes care of employees, although often times its more of a PR move than true compassion but nice nonetheless -NY office has "wow" factor, you feel like you're in a movie or part of something big when you are there -I believe Hearst is working to match the business strategy with the future of publishing, print, and media

Cons

-Low salaries with limited data or insight into how compensation is created -Executive team can be very old-school and slow to implement change -Not flexible, leadership wants everyone to return to office full time after the pandemic -Limited growth, you can be locked into a role for a long time unless you threaten to leave or become a leader's favorite -Female executives are trying but they do not inspire change or passion - they are robotic and scripted and rely on PR to drive their every move -Disappointed at lack of change coming out of the allegations from top leadership. Removing one person does not solve a systemic problem -Executives can behave immaturely, there is a lot of politics at the top and emotion-fueled decisions
