Good solid company to work for, job security

Cons

The ME branch is driven by nepotism, most of the employees in the office come from the same village in Kerala and are related to the (former) boss

Pros

Halliburton technology has good technical work with good people development cutting edge technologies. The pay is competitive and benefits are typical.

Cons

Continual changes prevents stability, non oil-field management does not have a clear path to effective strategy. There is a focus on popular fads from other industries without an understanding of how some of the concepts should work within this organization.

Pros

There are no good reasons to work at Halliburton. The oilfield sucks, but all other service companies pay more.

Cons

It's a good ol' boys club, and women are completely disrespected. I overheard a company rep asking my coworkers if I'd be trained to give oral sex. Not one of my coworkers stood up for me; they just laughed. Also way too many locations with no porta-johns, had to watch guys take dumps on location. OSHA regulations anyone?
