Pros

One of, if not, the best place for an engineer to start in the oil and gas industry. Tons of training enable you to really grasp the concepts of the work you are performing. Safety culture is one of the best in the industry.

Cons

Lots of time away from home. Lots of driving. When the industry is struggling the feeling of job security goes way down.

Pros

Decent salary. Great benefits. Good atmosphere.

Cons

Through this down-turn, i have seen so many extremely experienced people leave. Halli compensated them well for moving all over the world and as soon as times were lean, they fired everyone that sacrificed for them. Earl P. would roll over in his grave to see how his company is being ran now.
