Great technology for field. Good chance for advancement. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly coworkers. Huge company with huge resources. Job security.

Cons

Huge company so communcation can be challenging at times. pay is not as good as other oil companies. They hire graduates just out of college, they seem to work cheaper. Hours are erratic.

Opportunity for advancement is there if you work for it. Local management has the discretion to promote you or not, so it can be good.

Cons

Once again, local management has the discretion to promote you. If you aren't one of the "good ole boys", you might be left behind. Always network outside your local area.

Pros

There were many very good people to work with. I never had any real problems with my managers. Work/life balance was quite good.

Cons

They aspire to be the best employer in the oil services sector, but I don't think that will happen soon. Career progression was quite limited. Recently, working from home has become a no-no, which is un-enlightened of the company.
