Pros

Global company, more opportunities working around the world. It is also sponsor the H1B and green card if you are a foreigner.

Cons

pay is lower, bonus is little. Promotion is slower, there are not too many opportunities in North America as it focuses on Asia.

HSBC belived in worklife balance. The company provied ample time off and mangers seem be understanding when something unexpected came up.

Cons

In some cases promotions were given to people who had not worked for them.
