Pros

- lots of genuinely lovely, kind and helpful people - amazing offices - the opportunity to work with people from so many different cultures

Cons

- it seems like the same cycle on repeat, bloated company and structure make it difficult to be efficient, restructure, company becomes bloated and inefficient, restructure and repeat - global standardisation makes it harder to deliver results. It's a necessary evil (you don't want different everything for HSBC across different countries), but it makes it really hard to get things done - incessant meeting culture - it's not innovative at all, and barely open to innovation. The people who succeed are the ones who have learned how things work (or don't work)

Cons

I was with hsbc for 2 years totally lost my personal life and health.tooo much of work load.To save money they assign 2 persons work to each associate and pressure them to work on weekends.Technologically not that great, if you want to join be prepared to loose your personal, life and health.

Pros

I like people, so I genuinely like the job itself

Cons

Unfortunately a lot will depend on your manager. The main problem HSBC has is that good people try their best, it’s never enough, the pressure is immense and people feel used. So those who work hard , leave. Those who stay, are those who don’t care a bit. If you get a manager like that, there will be no investment in your personal development. You’ll get zero support. They will be rude and simply won’t do their job. So you’ll leave just like everyone else had before you.
