I want to share a professional experience to help other candidates navigate the hiring process more realistically. I went through multiple stages of interviews with HCL, including direct communication with recruiters. After investing significant time and preparation, communication suddenly stopped with no closure, update, or formal rejection. While I understand that hiring priorities change, prolonged silence after active engagement reflects a lack of professional courtesy and transparency. Candidates plan their careers, manage other opportunities, and make decisions based on these processes. My intention is not to criticize individuals, but to encourage candidates to: • Keep interviewing elsewhere until you receive a formal offer • Set personal deadlines for follow-ups • Protect your mental well-being • Understand that ghosting can happen—even with large, established companies This experience reminded me that silence is often systemic, not personal.
