Pros

Despite the competitive nature of the business, sales staff can make quite a decent living due to the base plus commission structure of the company.

Cons

The company is going through many changes at the present time. Also, the development and opportunities for growth within the company are very limited.

Pros

Gucci as a company is very reputable, it has been in the high end retail business for over 50 years. Working at Gucci has definitely boosted my resume because of the name sake and what it represents. Working as a sales associate for Gucci can be lucrative. Sales reps make a modest base salary plus commission(3% of your total sales alone). So depending on the store and your sales ability, a typical paycheck(given twice a month) could range from $1300, all the way to $2800 during sale season after taxes. There are also other perks Gucci provides its employees such as full medical benefits for yourself and your family, 401(k) contributions, paid vacation after a year of employment, and not to mention the generous 50% store discount at Gucci and 30% at Gucci sister stores. Overall, my experience at Gucci has been amazing, I highly recommend it and would certainly return to work for them again in the future.

Cons

Working as a sale rep can be very exciting when it's busy. But like most other sales job, it can be quite boring when it's slow, and that's when you resort to doing menial tasks like cleaning merchandise, table tops, and worst of all, the insides of the shoes that's on display! Also, I would watch out for management, at least in my experience, they can be quite pushy and overbearing that sometimes you may feel bullied or abused. So it looks like the devil's wearing Gucci this Spring.
