Pros

The work atmosphere is very relaxed at Sitel. Dress code is business casual with Fridays being just casual. There is a cooperative community spirit here, and various opportunities are presented to employees to help those who are less fortunate. Monthly awards, anniversary celebrations, and theme oriented potlucks are the norm.

Cons

Pay is somewhat below the norm for other call centers in the community, and advancement is usually limited to one step above the agent level. Sitel has gone through three group health insurance providers in an many years, and the price for coverage keeps getting higher

Pros

Fast moving environment. Exciting changes that drive the company foward. Great team to work with and plenty of opportunity to move around the world. Every day there is somenthing new happening and while I worked at Sitel there were many very big changes that drove the business foward. The offshoring business had just opened up and there was many new projects coming on line to support the new offshore business . This meant that there were many new opportunities for overseas travel to India and the Philipinnes on a very regular basis.

Cons

Low pay, poor HR department and poor performance management culture that does not give you objectives or reward good performance. Random promotion prospects.

Pros

Sitel provides good benefits, a wide range of schedule options, and is a global company which allows transfers to other locations.

Cons

For middle management staff, the workload given is unrealistic, while the project management team (Operations) provides little or no feedback, there is no training provided for basic job duties, and the environment does not promote teamwork.
