Pros
Interesting work as a Staff Writer with a lot of freedom to pitch and research any topics that I found relevant for my cities. Especially great for people that need to get first-hand experience in journalism and get some connections to museums, event organisers etc. in their own cities. Team nice and the rest of the colleagues very friendly and helpful. Decent salary with a quarterly bonus.
Cons
I was told they will open a new office in Berlin, this never happened. I was forced to work completely remote while all my other colleagues in Madrid, London, etc. had offices. Overpromise during the hiring stage for sure. Got let go after the trial period without any explanation (my numbers were good). I am sure they realized I was 'overpaid' by Spanish norms and are now hiring someone to do more work and get paid less. Disappointment.
