Pros

Great projects. Good social culture. Free Spanish lessons.

Cons

Lots of over inflated egos. Lots of stepping on toes and point scoring to impress management. Site staff have more power over cost than commercial staff (no QS’s in Spain). Zero respect for commercial. Spanish staff always have more power and respect than others. Blame deflected to non Spanish staff. Everything you do is triple checked and often changed by non commercial staff. Very undermining. Often fail to include the QS on basic commercial matters. Spanish management have lots of loyal informers around who report everything they see. Not allowed to think for yourself. Mentally exhausting and degrading at times. Make sure you have a non Spanish line manager
