Pros

Come in as you please for most contractors. During so times of the year you’ll get off early, but not often.

Cons

No air conditioning when it’s hot, no organized trucks. Loaders just throw boxes into your truck so you have to look for them. Packages weigh up to 150 lbs. most of the dolly’s on trucks are pretty beat up and useless. Most contractors pay salary which is cool if you have an easy route. But most contractors will load you up with an 8-10 hour day worth of work. The DRO (routing system) is complete trash. It’ll have you driving in circles all day. Most days loads take so long that you don’t dispatch until 9am or later. Contractors are pretty cheap when it comes to raises. Like 2.5% raise cheap…. Absolutely no availability to move up.

Pros

Work experience has a lot to do with the district you work in. Benefits, Vacation days, unlimited Sick days for exempt employees.

Cons

There's no leadership, managers do the bare minimum across the board, HR Manager is not a leader she's a generalist . There's a revolving door with HRBPs , other districts are a lot better to work in.
