Pros

$18/h Starting as a courier. Decent management. People Like Fedex. Great full Benefits for part time employees.

Cons

Part time Couriers may become stuck on the "offload" part of the sort. The offload is unloading and moving boxes by hand. Boxes range in weight from 1oz to 100 pounds. Imagine having to help a friend move to a new home everyday. %60-%70 of working day will be on the offload. Other new higher employees may work much easier parts of the sort, its luck of the draw.

Pros

Everyone that I have worked with at FedEx has been very friendly and easy to work with. It is fairly physically demanding but satisfying and makes you stronger that's for sure. There is opportunity for advancement. They fully promote from within through all the ranks everyone started out as a package handler, even the CEO. Good health insurance after you put in 1000 hours, paid time off after 6 months, tuition reimbursement.

Cons

My only real complaint as far as cons go is the way they want you off the clock as quick as possible, and it can be hard to get more hours. I typically get 15-20 hours a week. Some people, like the unloaders, get even less than that.
