Pros

After 15 years, I can't think of one! OK, maybe one? The benifits are pretty good.

Cons

Quit and never go back. If, you do, you will be treated as IF you are a NEW employee. However, you can climb up the ladder faster with all that knowledge, but the pay will NOT!! The best job within FedEx where the pay is ok was a courier. After so many years on the road, my body couldn't keep up and so, i chose to quit instead of working as a CSR in the call center or in a BSC (pay cut to go in doors at FedEx) and at that time was not an option being a single parent.

Pros

The compensation and benefits package are very good, benefits better than most. The company has good core motives and does a lot for charity. There's a tuition assistance program that can pay for almost everything except parking and books. The mail order prescription plan can save you tons of money. There are airline discounts for regular part time and fulltime employees as well as many other discounts available. You can get a workout on the job while getting paid--because much of the entry level work is physical. We call it being an industrial athelete!

Cons

The current high oil prices have me considering other employ, because of the negative affect it has had on other airlines recently. FedEx is heavily aircraft driven, which gives the cause for my concern. Upper management can be out of touch with lower level employees. The shiftwork can be demanding on family and social lives because FedEx is a 24 hour company. There are opportunities for advancement, but it may mean taking part-time work for a while in order to get a better full-time job.

Pros

Not having your boss around all day. Checking out all the hot receptionists. Working outside in the summer time. Seeing all the women walking around all day downtown!

Cons

Last few years treated the couriers like garbage, even though we are the face of company! There was a lot of favoritism going on the past few years! Can't advance through the company at all! Ripped off with benefits. Lost all bonuses but having to do more work then we did in the past! Get no bonus for driving around in the snow, told to work faster but try to be safe!
