Pros

Good pay & benefits Mon-Fri for some and Tues-Sat for most. Holidays off. Two weeks paid vacation a year even for part timers. A very good place to work as a second job, they work extremely well with those who have other jobs. Completely paid for CDL training. Overall I am proud to work there.

Cons

Hours are 4am until 9am or so depends on when you arrive back. The sick policy is a joke. You have days and get paid for those days but it will count against you. Working the sort can be physically demanding. Driver turnover is happening at a fast rate. As a RTD it takes about 15 years to top out of pay grade.

Pros

"It's a "first name", "open door" company. It is a well respected company, therefor, as a result the individuals within the company are initially well respected, unless they prove otherwise. FedEx trains it's employees to do their jobs efficiently and pays for all of the training plus the training time.

Cons

The pay could be a little better. Sometimes the hours could be better.

Pros

The Benefits and Retirement pension plan are above average, compared to average employers in retail and industrial manufacturing. Nevertheless, USPS and UPS has much better benefits than FedEx Express. Fast paced business, day goes by fast. Meet great people on the road.

Cons

If you get hurt at FedEx Express and become disabled, the company basically throws you out to the gutter. They send you off to workers compensation where they hire an independent company by the name of Sedgwick. Sedgwick is not an INSURANCE COMPANY, they are not binded by New York State rules, which means they are free to do anything they want against you. Fedex has NO disability pension. Takes a loooooog time to move up within FedEx Express. FedEx is the same old story like other employers, it is who you KNOW to move up!
