This is a good place to learn how to run a buisness. Good resume builder. Training program is realy good.

Cons

The hours are too long for the base pay. You have to many unrealistic goals to meet every month. The shipping system is terrable.

Pros

Some good people, got to travel alot, good pay. But I was not in Sales, nor did I ever work in a Branch.

Cons

Better keep your mouth shut, had heaven forbin, you speak the truth. If you are in the "club" your safe for awhile. If you ever have a disagreement, better watch your words. They will use the far reaching Standards of Conduct (SOC) to get you. After 8 years of employment I was fired, without ever being allowed to defend the situation. I was never written up, nor talked to about performance, yet I used the word Chicken S**** in a conversation with a Branch Manager, did not call him that, just how he handled a situation, and they pulled the SOC on me and said I violated Teamwork and Integrity and was fired the next day. Avoid Fastenal like the pleague.

time off, great way to learn how to run a business, entry level experience, can move up quickly if you perform well

Cons

pay sucks unless you hit a large spike, turnover is some of the worst I have ever seen, upper management has no idea how to motivate or keep tenured employees
