Pros

You get placed with a client quickly. You get good basic training which will get you through basic tasks at client sites.

Cons

No support once on client site financially or professionally. You might end up trying to survive on minimum wage. If you are ill or unable to work you only get SSP which equates to nothing when you are already on a low wage. No feedback or progression planned within the company. Transitioning to full time with client is very difficult and FDM don't help in the process.

Pros

Training is fine, trainers do care about trainees, some of the trainers are with brilliant experiences. Relationships between trainees are strong that we share everything to each others, most of the trainees are of the similar age. Half paid during training, which is acceptable that you still get paid while learning; Full paid during placement with client, the salary is relatively competitive in HK, thats why it attracts people like fresh grads or even graduates with 1-2 work exp to join. Placements in HK are decent, mainly banks, the experience is valuable.

Cons

Gaps between account managers and trainers/trainees . I recognise that they are making an improvement by taking consultants' priority/willingness/career path into considerations. But still, poor collaboration between trainers and sales, having conflicts all the time. Trainees are the one in the middle, suffering from their guidances since they are contradictory. When talking with sales, we always feel like we are getting patronised, which is the only reason why so many people avoid talking with them, leading to a poorer relationships. The office in HK is so tiny.
