Great place to Learn

Pros

Once you are in and settled you will be able to learn from several different ways as formal training, on the job training, web based courses, workshops, etc. The company is very big and there are many opportunities if you commit.

Cons

As any other company there is a lot of politics. Some managers are not worried about their employees growth. Most promotions happen very slowly, sometimes it is faster to get promoted if you leave the company and come back a year later.

Great place to work for a while

Pros

Great work/life balance and fantastic team atmosphere. Telework is available. (expect for R&D designers) Really big and international company for such a long time. If one has his/her eyes wide open can learn a lot about how such a big Telco company run a business from many different departments/views Many good technical people who makes the real Ericsson business success. Pretty nice culture of respect to/from employees and great values Continuous lays off with not so bad conditions, nice option to consider seriously if you are good at your job! (it's the best raise you'll ever have)

Cons

Salary below market/competitors with very small raises Completely unfair salary policy, no difference between being a very good engineer and a very bad engineer (just a few euros difference per year). This salary policy makes best engineers leave and jeopardize the future of the company in Spain (impossible to retain best engineers) Lot of overhead in old departments (many people don't add any value and have big salaries) making very inefficient and costly departments. Most of the managers/project managers have no idea about technical stuff and they don't want to have it, what is even worse! HR doesn't not exist.
