Very nice and welcome people mostly. Since it's an international company many are trying to make new friends, engage in new activities and RH is also very attentive to foster gatherings, parties, etc.
Cons
Very outdated technology, and the so-called architect role does more harm than good, blocking progress instead of enabling it. Even a straightforward engineering decision, like adding a new attribute to an Avro file, must go through a committee where we’re forced to justify every tiny detail. On top of that, there’s massive pressure on senior engineers to act as coordinators of epics rather than focusing on real technical work. It borders on moral harassment. Worse still is that behavior reflects the director mindset, who encourage and reward people who work this way. What’s the point of putting candidates through tough technical rounds during hiring if, in the end, they’re just expected to manage Jira tickets and shuffle boards around? Salary below average, even for the Spanish market.
