Pros

Overshadowed by the cons (see below).

Cons

High control from base in China regarding working hours, culture and (lack of) flexibility. Constant avoidance from senior management regarding implementation of flexible working to match that of competing platforms, when there is no longer health risks, despite global employee demand for it. For such a current and diverse/ accommodating brand, their culture and approach in regards to employees is not reflected. It still shocks family and friends in the industry that such a big employer pushing an 'inclusivity' message, does not allow its employees a little more freedom in future. Lastly, if you think you are signing up for a 9-5, for most positions, you are actually signing up for an 8-5. If you want a life, try at instagram or facebook.

Pros

There are some truly fantastic and talented people in the company who make daily collaboration a great experience. Additionally, the insurance and overall health benefits package is quite strong and comprehensive.

Cons

The work culture is heavily driven by top-down directives from HQ, leaving little room for open discussion, transparency, or questioning management decisions. The bi-yearly rating cycle feels highly punitive and is frequently used to target individuals rather than foster growth, leading to an environment where anyone can be abruptly let go. Work-life balance is virtually non-existent due to tedious, high-volume workloads and constant alignment with overseas timelines. Furthermore, leadership instability is a constant concern; local management changes rapidly, frequently replaced by leaders from the parent company, creating an unpredictable and highly volatile work environment.
