I did think RW would have more opportunity for me to grow, and initially I wanted to be here long-term as they said they'd be able to support with my learning and development to complete a qualification I was wanting to do. I had to pursue the qualification independently. This experience was disheartening, especially as I was aware that in previous years, similar opportunities had been fully funded by the company.
There was a big front and back office divide and in some cases we were reminded that we were working for our front office employees At times, back-office employees were reminded that we were "working for" the front office, which often felt discouraging and diminished our sense of contribution.
The HR team were massively divided and there was a hierarchy. There were 3 separate sections everyone would sit so naturally communication was poor and we never had opportunities for team building. When dealing with matters, it would be a long process as we had strict rules to only communicate with our manager, and our manager would then confide in their manager and so on. This approach was not only time-consuming but also made us feel isolated, as though we were not functioning as a cohesive HR team.
