Pros

Generous healthcare plan, PTO allowance, and 401k company match

Cons

Everything about this company is antiquated, from the technology to the employees. The median employee age is probably between 45 and 50, many of them lifers with no real work experience outside of Prudential. If you're up-and-coming, don't expect much mobility unless you stick around for a few years of you're in the actuarial program. Also, everyone at the Roseland office seems miserable. I heard that a few years ago an employee committed suicide during work hours. If doesn't really help that life insurance is so depressing and that there is virtually no morale or motivation among an aging workforce.

Pros

The culture and the way Pru treats it's employees is wonderful. They vet their hires thorougly, so you rarely find anyone that is not terrific in their role. Their benefits are also great.

Cons

Current AI adaptation has sent the tech side of the organization into a bit of a spin, as it has in almost all organizations. Due to that, some reorganization have been occurring, and many very talented leaders have been laid off. But the focus remains on the customer always, and no doubt these changes will level off soon.
