Decent company, but require a lot very quickly - Clinical Data Manager IQVIA Employee Review

Pros

They pay well and have a well-structured and segregated system such that you never feel like you have to fill multiple work functions to achieve your own deadlines.

Cons

They do not care how new you are to the company, they will throw you to the wolves immediately. 2 months after I was hired, while I was still learning all of their various systems and processes, of which there is *a lot*, they made me the solo lead DM for one of their biggest clients, on their most important phase III study, and sent me half way across the country to present to them our timelines, that'd *necessarily* be at least 4 months, that the client *insisted* should take 2 weeks, despite her own employees telling her otherwise. All the while I had 0 support or help from my line manager. Within a month after that, I was laid off due to "budget issues". If you want to be a DM for this company, prepare to hit the ground running, and do not dare give realistic timelines to clients.

Pros

Resources and access to good studies to be successful in research, immediate PTO benefits, 401k match.

Cons

Growth opportunities/compensation - besides the annual merit raises of <3 percent I haven’t gotten a raise in 5 years.

Pros

Great pay initially, especially after negotiating. People are very smart and willing to meet for networking and learning opportunities. Flexibility and work life balance is by far the best perk - especially since many roles are fully remote.

Cons

Merit raises have been subpar the last 4 years and do not come close to keeping with inflation, consistently the company cites great EBITDA growth but that never is shown in bonuses nor merit raises despite receiving “exceeds expectations” ratings. Parental leave is a nominal. Very easy to get “lost in the sauce” of such a large company.
