      Pros

      Quintlies was a fantastic place to work - great people, flexibility, good benefits and perks.

      Cons

      With the merger with IMS, I only saw negative changes. Half of our department was laid off and we had more, not less, work to do. Incompetent people were rewarded and put in charge of departments.

      Resources and access to good studies to be successful in research, immediate PTO benefits, 401k match.

      Cons

      Growth opportunities/compensation - besides the annual merit raises of <3 percent I haven’t gotten a raise in 5 years.

      Pros

      The layoffs were handled quietly and unexpectedly, even though there were some early signs. They didn’t share who else was affected, but it was clearly more than just me.

      Cons

      They’re doing layoffs in phases, and my position was part of the most recent round.
